Lieutenant Colonel Marc Hoffmeister needs your vote to be selected as Adventurer of the Year. He is currently one of ten adventurers selected by National Geographic. Readers' Choice Voting ends tomorrow to select which of these individuals will win. All the finalists are amazing, but there is more to Marc's story than just adventure.
Marc was severely wounded in an attack on his Humvee in Iraq. Following his convalescence, he led a team of Purple Heart recipients to climb the highest peak in North America (Mount Denali a.k.a. Mt McKinley). He is an inspiration to everyone with physical limitations. Marc now has a titanium arm and suffers with limited arm mobility and damage to his head and ears from the blast.
Read more and see the video from National Geographic. Then please vote a 10 for him.
When he returns to Iraq for a third tour next fall, help him return as National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year.
