Regina, all my files and forms I need are right near my desk in a 2 file drawer credenza.  I love my office, and it keeps me very organized.

Outside Blog

Well your posts on this subject got me all excited. But yesterday I had to take everything off my desk at home so the computer repair person had space to work. Now all the stacks on and under the desk are on the family room floor. I sat and sorted through some of that last night and found several things I had been a bit frantic about--including the book I bought last year about how to organize anything/everything. The author comes at the subject from the standpoint that no, we're not bad people. We just have long-ingrained issues that we have to understand first. I know mine. I need an immovable deadline. When that pressure is on, I steamroll through things. Now that I understand that, I can set my immovable deadlines myself.  The items you suggest might work well for R.E. agents sounds like most of them can work with my style and accomplish what I've been wanting to do all along. Thank you Regina.

Sherry, I agree with the "immovable deadline" part.  If you set a deadline for yourself, it's easy to keep pushing that date out.  But if you set a tax appointment with your CPA or Tax Preparer for JAN 15th, then that will give you the motivation to get it done early so you don't miss your appointment.  You now have someone else to hold you accountable!

I too have a file cabinet right under my desk. It keeps everything within reach.
