I know a couple of good Door Guys in Austin!
If you find yourself in the market for a new (or used) door check out the Door Outlet. It's located at 8701 Research Blvd. at Ohlen Road. Rob Berry is the owner and was very helpful both before and after the sale.
We bought a new door there last week and I received first class service throughout the process. It's a mahogany, Craftsman style door. We got a great door at a really great price.
Do some comparison shopping, Lowes and The Depot couldn't touch their price. And, I've never run into anyone in the big boxes that know doors like these folks.
The other guys name is Bill. He was watchin' Rob's shop last week. Turns out that Rob was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go see the Horns play for the BCS National Championship.
Bill operates a mobile, door service company. His operation is called Door Tech and they do door installation, finishing and repair. He's the guy that cut, mortised and drilled the holes for the door knob and deadbolt on our new door. Again, his knowledge and expertise are beyond compare.
