REACHING THE BOTTOM

By
Real Estate Agent with CIR REALTY

I've heard it said time and time again in the last few weeks.  The Bottom has been reached on home prices in Airdrie and Calgary.  If buyers are still waiting for prices to go down you're too late!

I think there is some merit here.  In a recent visit to a New Home Builder they have already increased their prices by 3%.  Another New Home Builder is looking to increase their prices by $5000.00.  On the pre-owned home front, most sellers I've talked to are waiting for spring to raise the price of their home.

SO - with nothing more than what New Home Builders and Sellers are doing - I too believe the bottom has been there and done that.

Investors - First Time Home Buyers - now is the time to jump in and buy what you want.  The price for a home is right.

Our Annual FORECAST BREAKFAST is January 20th - All of us Calgary Realtor and Surrounding Area Realtors will be heading to the convention centre to hear great speakers and hear what the market will be like for 2010 by all the experts.  I'm looking forward to this!!!

HOME PRICES TO RISE IN SPRING -

P.S. just heard on the news this morning Calgary made the top city to live in Canada.   (Airdrie is wonderful too....)

I feel the same.  Here in California, the first week of the new year was busy.  Buyers are out there, however, they are still looking for a great deal and walking away if they don't get it.  I too have a subdivision listed and my builder raised prices.  The next 6 months should be interesting.  Thanks for the post.
