Cincinnati Business Shout-Out #6

Ok... so this one isn't a business, but it sure saves me a lot of money:

Cincinnati Public Library

The Cincy Public Library system canvasas the entire city, and thanks to the last election it looks like most branches will stay open.  Although most branches aren't for the morning people (open at 10 or 12), they still provide an astonishing amount of time for all of us to browse and work.

After I became a Realtor I suddenly realized I couldn't spend money on books, cds, and dvds like I had in the past.  I'm not going to lie, building a personal library of all three types of media has been a long dream of mine.  There's just something nice about looking at all the books you've read.  You feel so distinguished.  "I have a library with many leatherbound books and smells of rich mahogany.." -Anchorman.  Luckily, my pride lost to my empty wallet in this battle.

I signed up for my card and the fun hasn't stopped since.  Thanks to our city library's website I'm able to browse and search for movies, cds, and books that catch my eye.  I can then get them transferred directly to my local branch (which happens to be across the street. sweeeeet)

I've read several books now, my itunes library is growing, and my "smart" move to get netflix over Blockbuster is even starting to look somewhat foolish.
