I don't have a lot of time to write, and the people of Haiti don't have a lot of time for me to come up with and find the time to write a fantastic blog about why you should try to find a few bucks to help.
About 10 years ago a group from my church came back from Haiti. This is the story they brought back that has stuck with me...
The group was handing out some food. One lady was trying to give a little girl some food and the little girl kept turning it down. The lady said, "no, it's ok... we are GIVING it to you" with the thought she didn't understand it was a gift.
The little girl's response? "No I can't. It is not my day to eat. It is my brothers. But I will take it to him if you would like."
