At a Public Open House it is my opinion that most home shoppers want to see that home and perhaps several other homes. They'll also expect to see a real estate agent hosting the event, and occassionally a lender assisting. As the host for the Open House I want the home to provide its best first impression (Staging & Curb Appeal); and try to give my best first impression as well. I prefer to introduce the home inspection process once the home shopper is comfortable with working with me and my team, and we have a good focus on the ideal home to search for.
For a Brokers Open, where the Inspector has performed a pre-sale inspection, then I think it may very well be appropriate to be there and explain the report and services to the other real estate agents and brokers touring the home.
I know a few inspector market at open house's, And I have been thinking about adding it to my market stragies but did not want to be in anyones way while they are working. I really appreciate your comments.

I have a question for you How do you feel about a home inspector at an open house? Is it acceptable or a nuisance? Would love a realtor's opinion
