I work with brokers that work with me.

The mls in our area is in Durant, 2 hours drive from Idabel.  There is only one other brokerage office in Idabel that is on the mls.  I have been on it for 1 year and have only had one sale through another brokerage office due to the mls.  But that does not mean that co-operation and co-brokerage doesn't work here.

In fact, it works very well. I am more than willing to work with the brokerage offices in my area that have worked with me.  We have a great group of real estate offices in our area, Westbrooke Petre Realty (Bob Petre), Crain Realty (Mike and Ambia Crain), and before Don Butler passed away this year, his office along with Lavelda Stuart, who worked in his office.  These people have always played fair and been excellent to work with.  Our office does not hesitate to work with them. Each and every time that I have called them to show one of their properties, they have made it easy for me to do that.  I have tried my best to make showing my listings easy for them.  These offices were receptive to our offer to co-broker from the very first day that we opened our office.

It is really great to be in the real estate business in Idabel, Oklahoma and be able to work with such a great and professional bunch of brokers.

I must admit I  don't know exactly where Idabel OKLA is.  It sounds like you have a great thing going there!  There is nothing like cooperation -- that is what this business is all about. Good luck to you and hope that you are not part of the bad weather region.

the MLS is an important part of out business. it appears that DOJ doesn't think so. I came from a state that had a statewide MLS it was great. Texas has so many that sometimes propriatery becomes an issue.  Support your MLS and co brokers. Very nice post

Joan, Thanks for stopping by. Idabel is a great little place in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. Our weather can only be described in one way lately , rain.  Our lake was the highest that it has ever been, today.
