My Neighbor had to let her nanny go, and has asked friends to help out. My wife takes the Tuesday shift 11:30pm to 9:00 am,
That leaves me at home to get the kids (6 and 8) ready for school and delivered by 7:30 am.
Not as easy as it sounds...and Thankless!
I had it so easy before...Get up eat , get ready and leave for work whenever I wanted 4 am, 7 am not a problem just get ready and go.
Now on Wednesday I have to get up get myself ready. Then wake two zombies that don't want to get up, make their breakfast that they don't want to eat yet, and pack their lunches ...( I always forget something)
Now I have them brush their teeth and get dressed, but I have final approval of clothes, I am sorry a spring dress and flip flops just won't get out the door when it is 40 degrees outside.
Then I have to calm the crying as she gets into a pair of jeans and closed toed shoes or boots.
When I finally get them to school I want a nap. :) I am beat, worn out, stressed!
So Mom's and Single Mom's my hat is off to you! You do a HELLUVA JOB!
You have a job, filled with complaints, multitasking, psychology, time constraints, nursing the sick, educating, and somehow you keep it all together.
I don't know how you do it! Frankly I don't care! But PLEASE PLEASE keep doing it! It is too tough for me.
