out here in southern California, you can't even buy land for those prices!!! Since I'm in the R.E. bizz, you'll hear no complaints from me :) But, as a consumer...DAMN!!!!

But I am not sure if you have the issues with HOAs that we have here in MB.  In Sawgrass alone, the homes don't move as well as they should, given location and great floorplans, because the Board of Directors is trying to remold it into what those people should have bought in the irst place - a 55+ community.  They discriminate against renters, so being an investor is a nightmare.  They make anyone with toys on that bak porches apply for fence permits, although a cheaper oftion of trees is available, and they give anyone at Coastal Carolina University a rough go.  I can't even get permission to put in a pavered patio to cure a water pooling problem in the my backyard because the BoD decided against it when I questioned them wanting to take out accessible parking spots.

I'd buy somewhere else and interview homeowners on site.
