Single Apple Pie from Greenwoods on Green St.Awesome Apple Pie in metro Atlanta - Greenwoods on Green Street!  Just about 15 years ago, some good friends dragged us to a cool restaurant on a very small side street in Roswell.   Seriously, it can't be more than a lane and a half or a street wide enough for two mini coopers.  We had arrived at Greenwood's on Green Street!

We've been a number of times every year over the years, taking family and friends.  We did a lot better getting out for date night when the kids were little.  Now, we are at kids sporting events at 7 or 8pm on a Saturday night. However, one such event took us within a mile of Greenwood's on Green Street tonight.  

Greenwoods is known for a lot of dishes, more of a southern style fare with fresh items homegrown on the lot next door to the restaurant.  The entree's are huge, my favorite being the Maryland style crab cakes, although, the honey drizzled fried chicken can't be beat.  As a treat at the end of the night, I typically order a slice of fresh baked apple pie to take home for the next day.  Just the pie!

Tonight, we just stopped in for my Apple Pie to go.  Hmmmm, bliss!  It seems I am not the only one with this idea, as now they have a little one serving pie baked and packed ready to go.  The dough is amazing, as well, so is the huge chunks of apples seasoned just right.  I brought home two!

Michelle--Mm-mm-mm.  Looks so good.  Guess I will just have to make an apple pie today.  Reading your post reminded me of a weeding we attended in Roswell about five years ago.  We had fun exploring the during the day before the wedding.  I remember going through a very old colonial style home.  The kitchen was in a separate building outside as I am sure the bathroom was, too.  Thanks for the memories.

Mary, Seriously it was delicious.  Roswell is a charming area, especially the historic Roswell section.  Glad it brought back happy memories:-)

Jackie, I know.  It's still way too big a portion, really.  Their slice of pie at the restaurant is 1/4 of the pie.

Laura,  Greenwoods on Green street is also very well know for it's Pecan Pie, I'll let you have those, if you'll leave the apple for me:-)  I think they also have Blueberry and Chocolate Cream Pie!
