Speechless Sunday: Let's Get Cozy

Cozy Furnance

This Cozy furnace was found sitting in the one car garage of a home built in 1955.  Don't know if it still works or not, but we got a kick out of finding the old unit sitting there.  It is hooked up to the gas line, so we presume that it was working at one time.  It's a two burner unit used to heat the garage.  I love finding old treasures like this when showing, listing and selling houses!

Bob - I remember seeing an old oil burning heater in the basement to one of our classic Sacramento homes.  Probably vintage 1920 or so.  The stir it caused during a home inspection, because of soil contamination concerns became even more interesting:-(

Waterville - Speechless Sunday is about anything you find interesting or entertaining.  It doesn't have to unbelievable at all.  Just take a pic and leave a brief description if needed or no description at all.  Jump in!  It's always fun!

They just don't make em like they used to any more. Older homes always have so much character and surprises.

THey should change the name of the furnace from It's a Cozy to... "Let's start a house fire".  You could probably sell it for parts and make a fortune!
