Great Investment Opportunities!
Here in Breckenridge we are seeing some huge new developments taking place from Vail Resorts, especially with the Ski in Ski out condos. Vail is the owner of the Breckenridge Mountain, and has been continually expanding the development of bases and the mountain in the past few years. Last year they completed the construction of the new "Breck Connect" gondola. This new feature will greatly improve skier transportation from the town to the ski hill. The new gondola has three stops on its route. The first is Shock Hill, where there is some very strong new development of single-family homes, townhouses, and The Lodge and Spa at Shock Hill. Currently there are some completed projects on Shock Hill, which have turned out very impressive. The second stop of the new gondola is at the new Peak 7 base. This development is called the Crystal Peak Lodge and is in the pre-construction phase, but has been actively selling. These pre-construction sales have been selling very fast and are continually releasing new listings. The slogan for these properties is "Beach front living Breck style". The last stop of the new gondola will be Peak 8 base. Peak 8 Base is currently one of the focal points of the mountain and currently the main base for the gondola, but with time will be updated with new development. This base will be starting redevelopment after the completion of the Peak 7 base development. There is huge opportunity for real estate investment here in Breckenridge. As the new listings for the preconstruction sales come on the market they are around $1000 a square foot, but recently we have been seeing resale prices on the first wave of listings for as much as $1500 a square foot. This is a huge upside in only a matter of a few months. As these changes take place it will also affect the entire real estate community of Breckenridge.
