Ziki? What the heck is a Ziki?

Ever hear of Ziki? I certainly hadn't. With so many websites out there, it's hard to keep track of what's new and which one's I should be joining.

So what exactly is a Ziki and why should you have one? "Ziki enables users to create an official webpage (a ziki) which is guaranteed to appear as a top search result on Google, Yahoo! and MSN. This allows our members to create, manage and optimize their online presence & identity." Click here for a better explanation. There's even a Ziki Blog.

This was pretty easy to set up. You basically set up a profile about yourself, add links to your websites and blogs, feed your blogs into your profile and in about 30 minutes you are all done! Pretty simple!!

I've heard a couple people say it brought a handful of people to their websites and blogs. It sure can't hurt to set one up. Anything to help get traffic from somewhere to my blog and website is a good thing!

Interesting. It looks like they just guarantee you top placement for your name. That doesn't appear very useful to me. Unless you are a John Smith it should be pretty easy to get #1 on google. Certainly you and I both do.

They are popping up like flies!!! Actually I think that Beckys could be useful for someone who doesn't have a great internet presence. I always tell sellers to google me and my competitors and it's amazing how many of them don't even show up on Google. One of our top agents in College Station has her Realtor.com webpage and an article about how she got a $295 pregnancy test to determine whether her baby was a boy or a girl and it was incorrect. With blogging mine has grown to page after page of useful references. I love it! Great listing tool.

No ziki, wiki, wsiki, bliki or miki for me!!!!!! I'm always cautious about putting my info in too many places. I already have excellent SEO and don't want to screw it up by.......heck I don't know...all I know is I don't need ziki. I think:) I get confused easily.

Bryant, you've had to much liki in your drink! LOL....

I agree with Bryant on this. My SEO is putting me on page one for many different searches. Maybe I'll need this in the future but for right now I'll pass on it. Thanks Becky

I am getting first page on GOOGLE results with each post...so this is my focus becuase the Google Juice that Active Rain brews up is magic. . .

I am all over the first page, second page, third page, fourth page and some here and there after that in google for my name.

The point of signing up is that other "regular" people that aren't in real estate can search profiles there and may find you.

For the 30 minutes it took to set it up, it may be worth it.

No Ziki for me. I don't want to be all over the internet.

Blog Boy (Broker Bryant) has that covered and our google juice is delicious this morning :)

These new sites are coming in faster than anyone can humanly keep up :)
