RainCamp NYC 2010: Delivered on ROI! Experience It for Yourself!

I had the wonderful experience of being in attendance at RainCamp NYC on January 12th. And I must say, "This event truly delivered on Return on Investment (ROI)."

With so many "Social Media" conferences out there, how do you decide on which ones are "must attend" events? More specifically, how do you decide if you should attend RainCamp? Well, for what it is worth, here is my opinion: "Overall, if an event can truly delivers on ROI, it is worth attending."

I had five (5) goals in mind:

Goal 1: LEARN.  Learn Something New About Social Media.

My number one goal was simply to learn. RainCamp was packed with a huge amount of valuable information including, Statistics, SEO blogging tips, social media marketing using Twitter and Facebook, web resources & tools, and so much more. I came away with a lot of great information, helpful tips, tools and techniques for immediate and practical use, allowing me to get started right away.

Goal 2: NETWORK.  Network and Connect with Fellow ActiveRainers.

My second goal was to network big time. I met some amazing people before the start of the event, during the event and after the event.  I engaged in valuable conversations and exchanged business cards and ideas with fellow ActiveRainers both at the networking luncheon and during the conference after party. And, I have since begun connecting with many of them on Facebook and Twitter.

Goal 3: ANSWERS. Get My Questions Answered.

The organizers, speakers and guest panelists did such a superb job, that I absorbed all the information presented and did not have any questions. Still, it was comforting to know that they were energized, engaged with the audience, and available to answer questions, as well as, offer some take home suggestions in ways of developing your own social media strategy.

Goal 4: SHARE. Share and Teach Others What I've Learned.

I often share information with new agent groups, as well as colleagues who attend my company's skill based training sessions. It is always great to share new information discovered through incredible events like RainCamp.

Goal 5: CONTENT. Create Valuable Content.

What better way to share my experience at RainCamp than to blog about it. It becomes a wonderful reminder for me; and, it serves as a resource for anyone thinking about attending this event. I encourage you to read many of the posts about the RainCamp experience. And, just maybe, you'll decide to Experience It for Yourself!

RainCamp delivered! If you are looking for an incredible networking opportunity and an actionable plan to help you maximize your online presence and get business using Social Media venues like Twitter, Facebook and blogging, Attend RainCamp and Experience It for Yourself!

All the Best, Letitia

Letitia, I'm looking forward to RainCamp coming to Atlanta. It's good to know that it was a great experience for you. I also wanted to thank you so much for stopping by, commenting and encouraging a couple of new member posts. (They are agents in my office that I invited to join AR.)

Jen, Thank you for stopping by! When I first joined ActiveRain, I basically did nothing with it for two months - what a waste.  Then I received a comment "Message of Encouragement" from Don Rogers which really kicked off my participation... it really made all the difference.  So now, I try to pay it forward by encouraging others to join and new members to participate - and get involved.

Should you attend RainCamp, please do tell "post." I would love to read all about Your Experience.
