This story has been on my mind since I saw it on the TODAY show Friday morning. It is the story of an amazing young woman, Christa Brelsford, who was in Haiti during the earthquake. The first thing I noticed about her was her beautiful smile. Her smile makes her face glow, even though, at 25, she has lost a leg, after becoming trapped in the rubble.
They told a story of her riding on the back of a motorbike, in a friend's arms, over two miles of unpaved rough roads with her leg "flopping around."
Please read this article and think about the events in your life that may keep you from smiling. Christa was able to say with a smile, "I didn't expect my leg to be saved; really ever ... I'm so thankful to be alive."
I expect that this will be in my mind for a long at. I hope it will!
