There seems to be a moderate amount of controversy as to whether or not radon testing in one's home is necessary and what to do with the results when you receive them. I find that most of my clients do not wish to have the test done when doing their inspection on the home they are puchasing. I know when we built out own home in 1992, we didn't do a test then, nor have we ever. So what does everyone else think out there? Does anyone know of anyone that has been diagnosed with cancer or any other disease which was connected to radon gas?

Karen, Virginia does have a high level of Radon level. So most of my clients do get the test done. For additional $120 can't beat the piece of mind. If the result is higher than the EPA standard sellers and even banks are willing to negotiate the remediation.
