Well we all know how hard it can be to preview a home during the foreclosure process. If you have ever bought a foreclosure that you did not get to preview you also know the feeling of uncetrainty when you walk in the home for the first time.  You just don't know what to expect. However, I am sure the one thing you did not expect to find is the previous owners mummified body to greating you in the living room?

Apparently a man recently bought a home in foreclosure in a coastal town in Spain only to find the previous owner's mummified body on the couch in the living room. What a shock this guy must have had! The coroner deemed that the woman had died back in 2001 around the same time the house payment stopped. The salty sea air preserved her remains.

I know that feeling all to well!  We picked up a foreclosure property at the auction, which of course meant it was purchased sight unseen.  We had watched for activity while doing a few drivebys and saw none, but we did notice that there was black paper covering the windows and the yard was waaaay overgrown!  We didn't know what to expect!  When we finally got access to the property we entered with our hearts pounding, expecting to find transients or drug making paraphernalia or rats!!  As it turned out the owners had vacated the property a year prior and no one knows why the black paper was on the windows.  All we ended up finding were RATS!!!  I've never screamed so hard and loud in my life!!!!!!

I went in a house yesterday.....I think someone had died.  It was a foreclosure and it reaked!  Don't think that body would have been preserved.....it is hotter that three hells here right now!

Probabaly the worst home I've entered was a listing last summer that was already bank owned, but still occupied by the owner and he didn't want to leave!!!  There was trash everywhere, it smelled awful of animal odors, flies flying all around.  We found out after we went back outside that the owners had many snakes that roam freely in the home!!!!

I was really disturbed by the picture here and then more so by the story. It is really sad to hear stories where people die and no one knows. What must their life have been like when no one missed them? Or maybe in this case there was another family member (maybe a child) and they just wanted to keep the body there? Very strange.
