Creating Real Change
I wonder what type of CHANGE will occur after today's Senate vote in Mass?
While we debate the state of our nation’s health care and the economy, many wish we could change the path our country seems to have taken. And I’m not referring to Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, but to the failure of our belief in our collective selves. Many question the judgment of the majority and want to force quick change.
But change—major change—rarely comes quickly. It comes because we build strong foundations over time; and it begins with small steps, when we point our children toward the right path. While we may not see the benefits of great change, we can build the foundation.
If you are thinking one year ahead, sow seed. If you are thinking 10 years ahead, plant a tree. If you are thinking 100 years ahead, educate people. Chinese proverb
