WE'VE BEEN 'KICK STARTED' into 2010!

RE/MAX Kickstart Toronto, Ontario January 18-19, 2010

The main event may be over, but it is one that will be long remembered. The main event was the Re/Max Atlantic-Ontario Canada's Kick Start 2010 held in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

It appeared that there were at least 4000 Remaxers in attendance and full of energy. Over the course of the two days, so much was learned, friendships were formed and re-connections made.

We were taught by Home Stager Carla Woolnough. Did you know blue paint is a bad colour choice when selling? Social Media Primer Richard Silver. Did you know it is not social media anymore, it's web 2.0? 

We listened to featured speakers Joe Stumpf, don't ask for referrals anymore, ask for introductions. Tom Ferry told us video is best & tag the area you want to own.

We were fed; we shopped the supplier showcases; we were entertained by comedian Meg Soper, Abstract Breaking Crew dancers and the live band Trip Doubt and we even had a chance to win cold hard cash from one of those wind money maker machines!

Now, to sort through the mountain of notes, bags of treasures and pull out the piles of ideas and kick 'em into play!

I am glad to hear that you were given a presentaion by a home stager.  I am a certified home sager and it does my heart good to know that my industry is recognized as an important part of the home selling process.

It was a great time Don, our heads are spinning once again.

Hey Marc, have to sort through all the notes now. You will enjoy Richard at your HOT lunch !! :)

Warm neutrals are the ones they told us Andrea! We were hoping for EXACT shades but that was all we got.  They pointed out blue turns buyers off even in washrooms and pink was the other colour mentioned. Where are the drop sheets and paint brushes LOL

How interesting that you've been to South Carolina and Florida recently and then you have a huge real estate convention in your own backyard. Don't forget to take pictures of all the winter and early spring flowers. That's what I remember most about Canada is all the daffodils, crocuses, tulips, etc. Well, that and standing on glass at the CN Tower and looking down.
