Stunner in Massachusetts - America the Beautiful.
I must admit that I have been a bit down on the past eighteen month's actions by our government. From the TARP, to Bailouts, to Cash for Clunkers, to the secret meetings behind closed doors that brought us a Health Care Bill that only passed after elected leaders accepted 'legal' bribes from their counterparts in return for their vote.
Today's election in Massachusetts gives me so much hope that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction in the corrupt and arrogant thinkers who walk the halls our our Senate and Congress. If a seat held by the late Senator Kennedy, which has been held by the Democratic party since before I was born can be overwhelmingly removed from the hard line liberals shows me that there are many in this country who do not think solely upon party lines but by what is RIGHT and what is WRONG.
While many may boast that this is a win by the Republican Party, which to some extent it is - this is more about hard working Americans of both liberal and conservative thinking saying to our elected leaders - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. My hope is that those on the hill in Washington will take this day's message for what it is - Americans are not going to take it. Change is in the air!
God Bless this great country and all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to allow us to change the direction of this country to reflect the PEOPLES will.
