I was just contacted by a former client and asked to speak with their friends who were undergoing financial difficulties. They were currently in a listing with another Realtor and things were not going all that well. After I spoke with them, it was apparent that their Realtor had no clue what she was doing. However, that was not their highest hurdle.
Their biggest problem is that their renters decided to stop paying rent as soon as they found out that the homeowners were having difficulty with their payments. The renters decided just to stop paying rent because they figurd they could just stay in the house, rent free till the home went into foreclosure and the bank came knocking on their door offering Cash-For-Keys.
Just imagine, if all renters did this...the foreclosure rate would skyrocket. NICE! REAL NICE PEOPLE!
