Another mystery photo of old Searcy Arkansas houses.

Here's another one of the old interesting home pictures given me to a lady whose husband had passed away but who had a hand in building the houses, drawing up the plans, etc.  I have not been able to locate this house.  It may be gone.  Perhaps some of my blogger friends will remember it.

The house has grown shrubs and trees and makes me wonder whether the man was reliving his history and going back to the scene of the construction and making memos. I understand that.  I drive around town now and say to myself, "I sold that house way back in the 80's.  And there's one that I sold in the 90's."

I'm enclosing the floor plan also.

One bath, screened porches (remember when there was no A/C?).  People lived simpler lives didn't they?

I love this house and hope it is still standing, but it evidently isn't if you can't find it.....

I'm thinking it might be on the highway to Pangburn, but close into town:  close to or next to the Jim and Ruthie Wiseman home?  That's the best I can do.  I hope Don - basking in the Bahamas - Harold Gene, Bob Collins, even Billy Fuller can help you out.

Looks like one of the Harding properties. May not even be captured by Google's cameras. Quite a foundation. Bet it has a basement. The entry looks familiar but there are several like that in searcy.

One of the designer/builder's better works.

No time to Google, time to hit the beach. It's 77 here today.

Pat, thanks.  They do have character.

Linda, life was simple.  There seemed to be lots of screened porches at that time.  Some had sleeping porches, which may have been the same thing.

Anita, it looked like an Arch St one to me but I never found it.

Don, hurry home so you can get back to work on houses!  You've vacationed enough in the past hear to last a lifetime!  LOL

Steven, it's time to come home!  I hope you visited the ruins.  They were my reason for planning a trip to Mexico.

This photo takes me back to Grandma's house.   Much simpler times.  Great homes.

Tony, I've got only one more....just for you.

Kay, these homes were probably the ultimate at the time.  The times were simpler.

Barbara,

On these clunky public computers your AR site is best. Anything with too many graphics does not open worth a you know what. Yours is quick.
