These are difficult times.
Many agents and agencies are having difficulties. Lean times, lots of listings that are overpriced and not selling. Fewer buyers, lots of foreclosures out there. Discount brokerages breath on their necks.
These are the times that try men's (and women's souls). There are the times that show the public and our potential clients who were really are.
Behave well. Be professional. There are hyenas in the wind, and they can smell desperation.
I have run into more agents, recently, than I can believe, who are behaving badly. They've undercut colleagues (knowing full well what they were doing). They've spoken ill of their comrades in an effort to win the listing. They've used personal information to exploit an offer.
Character counts. Sometimes this job is ALL character... and those of us who've held the line (I like to think I'm included in that line) and valued character over business... those of us who've held the line... will remember, when the market returns.

Don't think people aren't watching, just because they don't say anything. Don't think the public isn't watching. They are.

Agents... show some character. Be the person you hoped you'd be... be the honest... be professional... be sincere... behave.
