REALTOR Magazine Online yesterday mentioned a Christian Science Monitor story about population growth in "Affordable, Warm Cities."

They reported the great population growth in many affordable suburban towns near larger Southern cities, similar to the BusinessWeek.com experience I enjoyed

We are right next door to Raleigh, North Carolina, so I think that suburban description fits.

So they misspelled Cary as "Carry."  More commonly we get "Carey."

Whatever.  We'll take it.  Great to have escaped the brunt of the "housing slump."

Glenkirk built out fast.                                             As did Bishop's Gate and Weathersby.

And there are many others.  I anticipate that Cole's Creek by Drees Homes will do quite well, and Governor's Row will too.  And good resale homes just fly off the market.

Also, I am quite willing to confirm the report that it is warm here.  Not Hot, but warm...   "Never let them see you sweat?"  Yeah.  Right.  Move to Plattsburgh, NY for that...

Also, I hadn't seen the label "boomburg" before, but I like it.  A specific vision is well-conveyed.  And "Boomburg" certainly fits much of the North Carolina Triangle Region beyond Carey... I mean Carry....Oh... Cary.

Mike,

Great description of Cary and I liked how you worked in all the frequent misspellings as well.  As they say, it's not the heat, it's the humidity!

Mike,

Nice to see you pop up on AR.  Glad to hear the slump isn't getting you down.

Hi Mike,

You know someone had to say this: CARY......Containment Area for Relocated Yankees!

AKA Martha Stewartville. KB Homes community there is hitting on all 8 cyclinders for sure!

To bad Martha wasn't born in Garner, NC...she would be giving Paula Dean a run for her $$$$ right now. I can almost hear Martha say: "It's Good Thang!" :>)

Being a native of Raleigh and a brief resident of Garner, I remember when Garner was much larger than Cary!

Bobby,

Keep her out of Garner!

I think Martha would have ruined the Toot N Tell.  Thanks for reading and replying!
