The 3 Stars of Web Site Marketing Success

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Real Estate Marketing Link

Given the positive response to my use of a list format in Wednesday's post, here is another list.

This one has the added element of featuring an agent's website, something I haven't done in a while.

With that as background, here are what I consider the the 3 stars of web site marketing success

1. A Look & Feel That Reflects Your Market

  • the term 'look & feel' describes what a web site looks and feels like to visitors.
  • Seattle Luxurious Living...the web site of Ally Wangsness ...is an example of a site with a good look & feel
  • the term luxury suggests lots of space
  • Seattle Luxurious Living, features both open space and clean design lines.

What better way to reflect a luxury home market in a web site?

Visitors who are looking for a luxury home to purchase, will be quite comfortable with the look & feel of Ally's site.

Similarly, owners of luxury homes will also be comfortable with the look & feel of the site.

Comfortable with the look and feel of Ally's site, prospective buyers and sellers of luxury homes in Seattle will see Ally as some one who can probably help them. Because they see Ally in this way, they are more likely to contact her to learn more about how specifically she can help them.

2. Unique Website

Instead of simply imitating the web sites of other real estate agents serving the same market, Ally's site reflects her approach to serving her market.

  • to achieve web site marketing success, you need your own unique web site.
  • connecting to your company's corporate site...or imitating competitor's sites will not lead to web site marketing success.

3. Visitor-satisfying Information

  • good content provides site visitors with the information that they are seeking.
  • once satisfied in their search for information, your web site visitors are more likely to contact you to learn more about how you can help them.
  • in terms of web sites, content...a critical component of web site marketing success...is indeed king.

All things considered, Ally's site is an ideal example of a web site that reflects...and connects with... the market that she serves.

Congratulations Alley..great site.

Larry * It took me over a year to get a "satisfactory" website for my business * now I tweak it and update it to keep it current * All the work in the BEGINNING of the process is paying off in the results

I don't think a website is ever really complete.  There is always tweaking and updating.  I believe that creating unique hyper-local information for my site through my blog as well as on my St. Augustine Page, had been key to driving traffic to my site.  Lke you said Larry, content is King!

Larry - I certainly agree with using your own unique web site as most of the corporate ones do not do well in the search engines (at least in our area)
