The last report on foreclosures and short sales for Northeast Florida indicate that lender mediated sales increased by 74% in Dec 2009 - while traditional sales decreased by almost 10%.
The price of traditional homes fell 8.6% while lender mediated prices decreased 17.9%.
In Dec, 44.4% of the homes sold in Northeast Florida were lender-mediated. Most homeowners who need to sell their homes and owe more on their home then they can sell it for can use the services of a short sale specialist.
