Butterflies, bad feelings, stomach in knots.  There are many different types of fear in the world.  When I think of what it takes to be to fearless there are a few different things that come to mind.

First you must be able to recognize fear.  Fear is an emotion and emotions can sometimes be hard to recognize.  Most times people don't recognize when they are in a fearful situation and their mind just reacts with what seems like a logical reason at the time, to remove them from being un-comfortable.

Second and what may seem the scariest of all, you must embrace it.  Being fearful or afraid is only a state of mind in your subconcious and luckily, is able to be changed on a consious level.  Even though it may seem too scary to embrace, this is essential to becoming fearless.

The third step is to find out why or what about a certian situation makes you un-comfortable.  Most of the time when a person is fearful of something it is because of a childhood memory that they may not even remember anymore.  This type of memory may have taught them a lesson at the time, but no longer serves them.

And the fourth step is to actually eliminate the fear by affirming to yourself that your old belief or memory no longer serves you and that you have a new beleif to put in it's place.  But, most importantly, you must follow through with your new beleif.  It may still seem a little scary to get out of your comfort zone but it is the most and critical step in becoming fearless.

The concept or emotion of fear never goes away compltely.  Conquering fear in life is an essential step in being able to grow and change as a person.  It sometimes seems a little scary at first, but in the end, is worth all of the effort.

So when you are out there meeting with people start learning how to recognize if the reason you are putting something off is just because of a little fear.
