Growing up in Minnesota is a contact sport. You gotta love the Minnesota Vikings or you're considered 'odd' (at least that was true in my extended family)! Trust me you don't wanna be odd in Minnesota! No No No - odd isn't a good thing!!
Without digressing further into what's considered 'odd' in MN allow the story to continue and we'll delve into that story at a later date perhaps with the help of Terri Eckholm and William Feela two of the top agents (active rain players) in Minnesota!
So why is real estate just like football?
Head Coach (Broker): She/he creates strategies and defines the plays of how you're going to win the game.
The Quaterback (REALTOR): She/he is the one who gets the action going and carries out the play. She/he sees the whole field and understands how she/he needs to move around to make the play successful.
Receivers (Lenders): She/he is responsible for running down the field, finding an open and catching the ball from the Quarterback.
Linemen (Title Agent): She/he protects the quarterback and block the defenders so the ball holder can gain ground.
Tight End (Inspector): She/he has the job of being in the right place at the right time and knowing what to do to insure that the play is successful.
Referee (Appraiser): She/he is an independent participant to make sure the play is a fair play.
Support Staff (Office Staff): They are responsible for providing all the necessary equipment and support to insure the team is successful.
Cheerleader (Spouses): She/he are charged with keeping the spirit high no matter how the game is going and to cheer them on endlessly.
There you have it - Real Estate is Just Like Football! Keep in mind that it takes a lot of people working as a team to build and sustain a successful business. When you're watching the games tomorrow think about the different positions, how they relate to your team and how you can improve on your strategy to be the best in your field.
And remember - Go Vikings!
