In the business of real estate, many agents, brokers and owners are involved in various charities, whether it be donating a portion of your commission to a foundation, giving your time, or sponsoring a youth team.  The owner of RE/MAX Excalibur, Howard Lein, just took it to the next level.

Howard has been a volunteer with "Sentinels of Freedom", a non-profit started to assist disabled war vets in getting back on their feet and returning to the work force.  Locally in Scottsdale, we have our first soldier, Ryan Job.  He was blinded by a sniper's shot in Iraq, yet still has the desire and heart to get back in the work force.  His story is moving; click HERE to read the AZ Republic's coverage.

Howard has headed Ryan's case; he has donated his personal investment condo and a healthy sum of money towards the foundation.  It's truely an inspiration to see our owner step up to this caliber of giving; how unselfish and inspiring!

Wow, if that is not a worthy cause I don't know what is!  Congratulations for finding a home with an owner of that kind of mentality.

Howard, Adam, and Ryan....you and the RE/MAX Excalibur Team personify the benefits of patiotism.  Ryan gave and you are giving back.  We are all grateful for these gifts.  God Bless!

I am saddend to hear about the death of Ryan Job, Phoenix's first Sentinel of Freedom Scholarship recipient.  I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Ryan at several Sentinal functions in California.  My deepest sympathy to Kelley, his wife, and to the Job family.

Such an inspiring story.  I read up Ryan's his life.   To go through so much, fight so hard, survive such an injury then die after reconstructive surgery years later.  My prayers are with him.
