Brooklyn Navy Yard...

Sometimes when I want to have a quiet moment I go off the beaten path to chill. The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a fave spot to sit back and enjoy views of Manhattan. I also like to watch the movie makers come and go. There are a bunch of production studios hidden in here and I have a couple of friends with commercial rental listings on location. Periodically, I get invites to come tag along while they show a property. My friends know how much I love eye candy. :-)

Sometimes the best part of being in real estate is access to unique points of views... I love the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It's huge... :-)

I remember that Navy Yard growing up. Nice pictures. Sometimes the most relaxation and pleasure comes from unlikely places.

Thanks

C - My memories of the shipyard go back to 1976....When it was a Navy base. I came in on a an LST at low tide. I was given a task of (ridiculous) holding a 6' pointer to tap the bridge as we sailed under it. Must have been the prelude of graffiti. Yes we cleared the bridge. Yes I thought I was going to save disaster. Young goof saves ship. Argh.  Well I was a greenhorn. Now I would give much to have the opportunity to do it again. Thanks for sparking a memory

Is that one of Noah's pictures that you "borrowed" from his camera or are you learning from him. See that same style in both your photos.

C- Not my cup of tea. Sorry, I guess my taste is more for our palm trees and soft white sandy beaches. ;)

Thank you, Mott. :-)

Claude, I wish I owned a camera when I was a kid because it would have been nice to have pictures of the ships from back in the day. :-)

Carole, it's huge and some of the buildings are really old. Several of the warehouses are new. It depends upon where you wander off to. I just like the space and the views. My kids like construction sites and watching the cranes in motion.

Margaret, nope, those are mine taken while hanging out with another Realtor who landed a commercial listing in the Yard. She needed some help with taking pictures because she stated she was not good at it and I volunteered. Kids were not along for the ride on that one. I kinda wish they were... I didn't use a lot of pics because I e-mailed her so she could use what she wanted. :-)

Nestor and Katrina, I'm a kid who grew up in a concrete jungle (LOL). I like a lot of things... :-)

Great photos C. I've only seen the BNY from the other side of the river. It is an historic and revered place.
