SPEECHLESS SUNDAY ...FLOWERING ONIONS
It only seems like yesterday when our Garden was in Full Bloom last Summer. We like to plant mostly Perennials, however there are some favorites that always end up in the Garden like these Flowering Onions, which are part of ther Allium family. And they are eatable

Love seeing a splash of color especially since it is so gray around here today.
Hi Petra...Nice thing about flowering Onions they last a long time and are slow to fully bloom.
I remember growing onions in my garden years ago.... they really are pretty plants!

Fred, We've grown chives for many years and didn't realize the blooms are edible! I just think they're beautiful!

Fred, good job! It does seem like it was just yesterday that we had new flowers! It shouldn't be too much longer now!
Fred - Nice colors...do they have an "onion bulb" at the root...how do these onions taste?
They are really pretty! When I see flowers on any of my veggies I always think I've blown it and waited too long to pick them. I'm hoping to get some raised beds put in shortly and actually be able to plant more things. We've actually still got tomatoes growing. Gotta love Southern California!
