Julea's Brain Burp of the Day

Home Stager with Reinventing Space

Bubble

Here's a new idea that burped up that will add bubble to your staging biz.

So today I'm at a Broker's Open for my latest enhancement, and a visiting Realtor is voicing concern that many Broker's Opens just aren't getting traffic due to the down market. So up Burps an idea to get more traffic through a Realtor's listing.

Picture this - Advertise a specialty Broker's Open using, you guessed it - you the stager as the hook to get traffic into the home (of course the home is staged.) The special stylish stager is going to be on hand, and will conduct a 20 minute chit-chat on staging tips & enhancement hints for the visitors at a certain time.

She just loved it!!  So the end result is - new client, new staging, new group of possible clients, awesome PR, a venue to talk about my services and show of my latest stylish enhancement.

Julea, Brain Burp indeed. This is a very good marketing ploy. Be sure to let us know how it goes.

Nice idea.  Earlier today I posted How to Bring Agents to Broker Tour/Agent Caravan and this was a "Brain Burp" that I haven't heard of yet.  Let me know how it works out for you.

Thank you so much ; you've made me feel very hip.  I just staged a house that had been on the market for a year, with lots of open houses.  So, the realtor sent out a flyer announcing that a) the house had now been staged, come see and b) the stager is on hand for a short presentation at 11:30.

8 people came, not a lot, none of whom had seen the house before.  One of the 8 had a customer who he thinks could well be interested and we are keeping our fingers crossed.  I have 8 new contacts, though I do think one woman is likely to stop being a realtor and start being a stager... grrrrr!

Julea --- great post and a very good idea.  I personally love the tummy butterfies a good brain burg brings on!  It's a real rush when passion shows success.

BTW,  Juliet --- be carefull who you grrrrrrrrrrr!  Promoting staging from all aspects is a good thing for all stagers.  If there's no competition, then the industry must not be worth competing for.

Please tell us how it goes!  What I find hard is that the open houses here are mostly on Sundays.  If you haven't already, post this on the Art of Marketing You.  Thanks for the post and idea!!!
