After All the Rain Comes the Welcome, Sun and Surf

By
Industry Observer with Retired

I had a couple hours off from a very busy schedule in real estate yesterday and decided to check out the coastline after a week of stormy and wet weather and see for myself what the surf was like. It was sunny and the temperature was in the mid 60's and lots of others around with the same idea.

As I scanned the La Jolla coastline area in downtown La Jolla, I could see that sea life was also taking advantage of the warm sun rays and found numerous colonies of different types of sea birds and of course the now famous seals that for some folks are unwelcome visitors there. I even saw a few new young pups adding to the growing population of what some say are " visitors". I didn't see any overnight bags around and as far as I could tell, they looked to me like they felt they were "home". The issue is now in court and I would love to be present when the Judge stops over to tell them the verdict. Priceless.

Hi Ray, Thanks for stopping by. We have so many strong photographers here in the Rain. People tat really know how to get the photo they want and don't rely on just sunning warm days with an hour to spare. I am leaning but I would bet given a fair camera, anyone could just as well as I.  I do so enjoy it and maybe that is what is what is showing through and not so much skill or knowledge. Having an abundance of subjects and places to take photos of, it really helps. I have no allusions as to my skill level. If you want real help I can point you in the right direction though. None the less, you always make me feel so terrific with your wonderful kindness, encouragement and especially your friendship.

Hi Tony and Darcy,

Sounds like you need a trip to CA. Coastal preferably and you would love it. It is ever changing and no matter how often you go to the coastline the experience is usually different. The colors are different, the sounds and even the wave action. Sometimes it is almost still with small rolling waves that make very little sound. The sun sets which I haven even begun to show are totally amazing. Hawaii is another place with so much diversity in the various islands and well as even on Oahu. Yep, it sounds like the perfect time of year for you to experience this for yourself and get out of the cold.

Nice to see open water. We have some on the river but mostly everything including me is frozen solid

Hi Teresa, It was a good day to show the more active oucean activity. Yo would be most welcome to join us here in California and give up the cold. More open water than a person can drink here, :-), not that anyone would. LOL

Great work William. The critters left San Francisco and moved up to the Pacific Northwest shortly after we made the same move. I think we are all going to end up in Alaska.

Hi Bill, It is 68 here today, you should plan a trip to a warm area and not have to wait. I also think 68 it is too cold  and heading to the desert this weekend for some warm sun. Than family there leasing for the month and I have a place to hang out, :-)

Hi Debra, These are the type of days that likley made our weather so famous. I guess that is why people are willing to spend 3 times as much for a house,LOL.
