Beaumont, California is a rapidly growing city in the eastern outskirts of the Inland Empire. Actually, some even consider it a mild mountain town because Beaumont lies at the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains.

Home builders bought real estate and starting construction in Beaumont, CA in the late 90's and have developed many communities since.

The Oak Valley Greens Community is located just off Oak Valley Parkway/San Timoteo Canyon Road exit from the 10 Freeway, in the city of Beaumont, California, and lies between Oak Valley Parkway and Brookside Avenue. The Oak Valley Greens community was built in 2002 to 2004. The 533-acre Oak Valley Greens project is a master planned development containing both conventional and active adult communities that are interconnected by community themed elements, neighborhood parks and open spaces, and a pedestrian trail system. The community is anchored by the Oak Valley Golf Club, a championship daily-fee course with a driving range, clubhouse facility and golf academy that is surrounded by the Oak Valley Greens neighborhoods. The North-side of this housing community lies on the Oak Valley Golf Course and was one of the first communities to pop up in Beaumont, California, and actually have some homes that do not have the Mello Roos builder lien common with newer Beaumont homes.

As Master Developer of the project, The St. Clair Company managed the development of the major street and infrastructure installation and grading of the initial 626 lots that were then sold to homebuilders. Merchant builders have included Pacific Century Homes, Greystone, Osborne Development Corp., Pulte Homes, Oak Valley Greens Glog Course in Beaumont, CAand Lennar Communities. The balance of the project was purchased by Lennar Communities for development of a 1,600 unit active adult community. Development of master planned infrastructure included a 4,000,000-gallon water reservoir a 30-inch transmission line, and a 16-acre community park.

The Oak Valley Greens neighborhood centers around what locals call the "Green Belt", which is essentially Oak View Drive. They call it the Green Belt because of the builder planned grass, trees and shrubbery that flanks Oak View Drive from the bottom to the top of the Oak Valley Greens. Oak Valley Greens also features a large grass park Brookside Elementary is on the corner of Oak View Drive and Brookside Avenue, at the top of the Oak Valley Greens.

The Oak Valley offramp and onramps from the 10Freeway has been under a considerable amount of construction over the past few months. Cal Trans is improving the drainage of the freeway bridge, not to mention reinforcing the structure and updating the appearance of the bridge to keep up with the growing community of the city of Beaumont. The construction is projected to continue through August at the very least. Detour traffic should use the Cherry Valley exit or the Beaumont Ave exits for the next few weeks.
