Prairie Creek Estates is a beautiful established neighborhood with mature trees draping the streets. The location is centrally located between major highways: Central Expressway (75), George Bush (190), the Dallas North Tollway, and I-635, on the West side of 75, right across from the Telecom Corridor. The cross-streets are Campbell & Prairie Creek West (between Collins & Custer). The Telecom Corridor includes many major companies such as Nortel, AT&T, Samsung, Lucent, Alcatel, and Cisco. Also, Texas Instruments is located very closely, and has a very large new campus just minutes from Prairie Creek Estates. It is also very close to the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and major shopping and entertainment. Richardson ranked as one of the top 100 places to live in the United States by CNN Money in 2006, and once again in 2008 ranking number 18 on the list!
Prairie Creek Park- has picnic tables, and is directly across the street from Prairie Creek Elementary School, which is an exemplary school. The kids can walk across the bridge to attend school!
The Prairie Creek Estates Homes range from the mid $300's (on the low side) to the mid $400's on the high side, and sizes from 2400-4000 square feet. Most of the homes were built in the 1990's and were built by custom builders.

Prairie Creek Estates is part of the Canyon Creek HOA; Residents are invited but not required to join for $15 per year. The homeowners take great pride in keeping the neighborhood and their homes presentable. Local Shops and Restaurants include: Fox and Hound, Pot Belly's, Chipotle, and many other food selections. Central Expressway is less than a mile from Prairie Creek Estates, and has major restaurant chains and major shopping centers close by. The neighborhood is located right across the street (across Campbell Rd.) from Methodist Richardson Medical Center.
Richardson's neighborhoods were among the first in the Metroplex to create a Neighborhood Integrity Program, and it shows. For almost 30 years, the program has implemented a strong yet reasonable enforcement of the city's ordinances and codes.
There typically are not many homes available in the Prairie Creek Estates , since homeowners tend to live in their homes for a long time. The housing market in this neighborhood is very stable.
