An interesting situation is happening in the Elementary Schools in the Lynbrook School District 20. Lynbrook 20 includes parts of Lynbrook, East Rocakway and Hewlett.
You can now Choose Your Elementary School - Lynbrook School District 20. Either Waverly Park Elementary or Marion Street Elementary.
Waverly Park currently has available seats for all grades and is accepting students from anywhere in School District 20.
Waverly Elementary will be holding an Open House on February 11 for all interested kindergarteners and their parents, where they will get a tour of the school.
"Waverly Park is the smallest of Lynbrook's three elementary schools," explains Principal Lucille McAssey. "We are known for our small class size, our warm and nurturing staff, a wide range of extracurricular activities, and an active and involved PTA. The school is also a leader in health and wellness initiatives, community service involvement and character education. We extend a warm invitation to families to attend our open house to learn more about what our school has to offer."
