Marcy, they are one of the most colorful ducks it seems (your comment came through twice so I deleted one:)
Leslie, I know what you mean about the fake look
Thanks, Charlie! Your duck looked like he was posing for you. I'm impressed you got so close. They usually swim away from me!
I offered Terry Chenier our snow on the surrounding mountains to help out the winter Olympics. Maybe I should condition it by saying he has to take the rain if he wants the snow.
However much I don't like rain, our grass is happy. (sorry this is getting off the duck)
Kate, you know that all comments are just "ducky" (as long as they don't involve a cetain Nut case)
Hi Charles, so this guy wasn't acting as a roof drain on some pond you found on top of a house?
Frank, I had some time to kill yesterday when I went to Olympia to testify at a Senate hearing about home inspector licensing. I took a walk around the little lake below the capitol building and there he was.
Nice job with the color and clarity of this photo Charles.
By the way, we'd love to hear about your testimony yesterday.
Craig---great idea----I will see if I can get a post together this weekend----out of Dodge all day tomorrow:)
Charles - That is one very spectacular duck! I don't think I have ever seen one quite like it!
Wow, what vivid colors. Lots of ducks on my lake Charles, but they don't pose for me like that.
Janice, he quacks me up
Nutsy, are you in with the Wood Ducks?
David that is one hot looking chicken too
Jay, and after a hard night out on the town?
Myrl, he kind of stool out amongst the mallards that are themselves pretty colorful
Tammy, do you have wood ducks too?
Charles, Neat pic of the wood duck. I do not see to many of them in my area...
Helping you live your American dream...
Wow! I remember my grandfather making decoys of these ducks! He would hand carve and paint them! Thanks for brining back good memories!!
Michael---not sure what their range is
Barbara, well they hand out together but Quackers is a Mallard
Gregory, glad you like it
