The eclectic neighborhood of Seminole Heights, known for its historic homes and support for small business and community events, has now helped to initiate more sustainability by starting the neighborhood's first Open-air, Fresh Market. The market is initially set for the second Sunday in February,
March, April, and May. The Business Guild of Seminole Heights is presenting this community event as the lead sponsor.
The market will held on the grounds of the Hillsborough High School at 5000 N. Central Avenue in Tampa. The historic Gothic Revival building will serve as a backdrop to this latest community endeavor.
The market will focus on including vendors who's product mix incorporates at least 75% of the following:
- Locally farmed produce, herbs & plants
- Locally farmed eggs & dairy products
- Baked goods containing no preservatives or artificial ingredients
- Organic/Natural packaged or prepared foods
- Vegetarian/Vegan foods
- Eco-friendly or Green products
- Locally made/handcrafted jewlery, soaps & art
- Local businesses providing the above.
The first market will fall on Valentine's Day. What better day to come and discover Seminole Heights.
