5 Comments on Don't Show Your Home to Strangers Without an Appointment
Great reminders J Philip and Liz. Hope everyone stays safe out there.
Solid advice! Even when I know the people I'm going to show property to, before we see anything, I photocopy their driver's license for insurance purposes.
I wouldn't call that "a suspicious New Yorker". (but then, my friends from NY say I must be really from there and just don't know it. lol) We had a man and woman posing as a couple, who were going to FSBOs and having one distract the home owners, while the other would be robbing them of jewelry, credit cards, cash, and anything else that would fit in pockets.
Safety thoughts always first Liz. Terrific reminder.
Hi Liz - I agree with Phil, you can never be too safe. I always caution my sellers right at the beginning not to let anyone whether it be a person off the street or an out of town Agent with clients, into the house. They can call my number on the sign for an appointment.
