Real Estate Market Report of Home Sales for January-June 2007 for Davenport, Iowa:
Davenport, Iowa First-Half 2007 Home Sales Down 5.7%, Average Sales Prices Up 3.3% from 2006!
REALTOR-assisted "Closed" single-family home sales in the city of Davenport, Iowa decreased by 5.7% in the first two quarters of 2007, down from the same period in 2006.
With 630 closed sales transactions from January 1 to June 30, 2007, the Davenport market showed a decrease of 38 units (5.7%) from the 2006 total of 668 closed sales transactions.
On a happier note for home sellers, the average sales price of home sales that closed during the same period showed a respectable increase of 3.3%: up from $122,454 in 2006, to $126,455 in 2007.
The average number of days on the market (from home listing date to sale pending date) increased slightly as well, from 55 Days in 2006, to 59 Days in 2007, an incecrease of 7.2%.
The list price to sales price ratio, (reflecting the percentage of the last recorded listing price of a property versus what the property eventually sold for) remained practically the same, at 95.1% in 2006 to 95.2% in 2007.
The Quad-City Area market is made up of the cities of Davenport, Bettendorf, LeClaire, Eldridge and Blue Grass, in Iowa. And Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, Silvis, and Milan, in Illinois.
