Residents Can Now Register for City of Gaithersburg Summer Camps

Resident registration is now open for Gaithersburg's popular summer camp programs.  All-day camps for elementary and middle school ages, and half-day Youth Activity Programs for elementary ages will be conducted in four separate sessions (with the exception of the middle school video camp, Innov8, which consists of two extended sessions).  Session I runs from June 21 - July 2, Session II from July 6 - 16, Session III from July 19 - 30, and Session IV from August 2 - 6.  Extended care is available before and after each all day camp for an additional fee.

From Camp Activ8 that promotes physical activity and healthy habits to the City's newest adventure camp, X-celer8, Gaithersburg offers summer programs to suit every interest.  In addition to the summer camps, the City is also offering arts and crafts workshops, volleyball and dance clinics, and three sessions of the School of Skate.  Summer camps and clinics are held at a variety of convenient locations throughout the City, including centers and schools in the Kentlands/Lakelands area as well as facilities close to the heart of the Olde Towne City center.

Registration for City of Gaithersburg residents begins January 27.  Registration for nonresidents will begin March 3.  For complete details pick up a "Summer in the City" camp guide at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue next to Gaithersburg High School, or visit the Summer Camps page at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/camps and click on "Camp Registration Procedures" for information on registering online.
