Weekly Inspiration - Your Inner Child is Waiting...

I’m finding that the more people I talk to, the more conversations I’m having with people who are go through a transition. Be it personal or professional, or even emotional, many of us are finding ourselves at decision points in our life.

For some of us this transition is very obvious with the onset of either losing a job or having to find another means for making an income. For others it’s a feeling that we have, sometimes an overwhelming feeling, that we are missing out on something or not stepping into the life that we were meant to live.

Does this sound familiar to you?

One of the first things I want to share is that you’re not alone. And if you don’t believe me, start asking around! I’ll bet you’re going to find that there’s plenty of people in a very similar situation within the circle of people you know. Why is this happening? Well there are many reasons that can be sited. Some look to the economy, some say it’s because we have so many more options available to us now – more than ever before – that we can’t help but be swayed and some may even look to the Mayan calendar. Don’t laugh! We’re currently in the 6th night which tells us that if we’re not following our life’s path and using our God given talents, we’ll be feeling resistance, push back and struggling to get things done.

Regardless of the cause, I think we can all agree that it is each of our responsibilities to use those gifts that were given to us at birth. Have you ever noticed that when you’re doing something you love, time seems to slow down, you feel better and you can go on for hours doing that thing you love?

For instance if you love to be outside hiking, biking or just in nature, no one has to ask you twice to get you off the couch and get out there. And once you’re there, you can spend hours outside, perhaps hiking up a favorite mountain taking in all the views or hanging out at your favorite ‘secret’ location. For others it may be singing or doing graphic work or teaching. Whatever it is, when you’re doing what you love you’re no longer hanging on the minutes of the clock wishing for that five-zero-zero to come up signaling it’s time to ‘shut down’.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to spend your days doing what you absolutely love as your career? Now I’m not suggesting that you quit your job today and then go ‘find yourself’. But I am suggesting that you take the time to dream… Dream about what your perfect life would look like and what you would do to fill your day.

If you’re feeling anxious and at a transition point in your life, the best gift you can give yourself is to take the time to reconnect with that inner child we all have inside of us and start living the life that you were meant to live. Dream more, play more and make happiness number one on your priority list.

I promise you that if you do this people and opportunities will start aligning with you to help move you along your path.

Dare 2 Dream. That inner child inside of you is waiting….

"I listen for a living." It's all about you.

I tuned to your post and to your video as soon as I saw it.  I am in fact one of these people in transition.  I am doing a 90 day program which is to give me the skills and systems to build my business.  I feel strong focuing on the tasks to build rather than the outcome that might await.  And yet, at other times the end game of success is what helps me through the loss, or temporary setback of today. Resiliency seems to be a watchword, and focus. Thanks for adding more knowledge to my base.  Have a great weekend.

Oh, in your video, why not put something on the wall that brands your shows.  I know it would be better than looking at the thermostat.
