It took a few months but the IRS released Form 5405. This is the form to file for the home buyer tax credit for homes purchased after the original tax credit expired on November 30th.

For the new home buyer tax credit you need to have a contract by April 30th and close by July 1st.

Here's form 5404 (pdf) from the IRS website.  Here is a post on the Home Buyer Tax Credits for Ann Arbor Buyers.  Kathy Toth and Team  Ann ARbor Market Center Keller Williams 734-669-0337

Kathy:  This is excellent.  What an important form for us to have.  Presenting this to our buyers and/or sellers at our initial meeting with them is a great way for us to increase our credibility.  Thanks so much for sharing it... really !
