"30 under 30" - This Agent's Last Shot!

By
Real Estate Agent with Frankly Real Estate, Inc

For those of you who don't know, Realtor Magazine has a feature every June highlighting 30 successful agents under the age of 30. I am just four and half months shy of my 30th birthday and decided to give it a shot this year!! I have read previous class rosters and found that I am just as qualified as they are so what's the harm. I might not have created successful real estate related websites like Jonathan Washburn but I think I deserve a shot!

Today is the last day to submit your application. There were 3 or 4 questions I struggled to answer (mostly because I am uncomfortable having to describe why I am so special) and though I had completed most of the application a few months ago these last questions remained unanswered until today. It took me an hour or so to do it but it's done!

I just clicked the "submit final application" link a few moments ago. One of my broker/managers submitted a Letter of Recommendation on my behalf last week. Wish me luck... and patience as I have to wait until May to find out if I made the cut!

And to any of my fellow AR members who aren't turning 30 in the next year - think about submitting for next year's feature! It isn't too early to start thinking about what sets you apart from the rest as well as discuss with your Broker about your future application. Don't wait like this Bethesda Real Estate agent did!

Good luck Cara.  I'm certain you have a great chance.  For someone to take the time to evaluate themselves means you take yourself very seriously.  This will be only one milestone in a great future for you.  In fact you've already joined the greatest realestate networking group.  This was a milestone itself.  Have a great week.

Good luck. Too bad that they don't realize that this is age discrimination and solve the problem by also having:

  1. 40 over 40
  2. 50 over 50
  3. 60 over 60
  4. 70 over 70
  5. 80 over 80
  6. 90 over 90
  7. 100 over 100

Pay no attention to me. I'm just the Court Jester.
