Stratford Park is a quiet and small neighborhood consisting of only 325 homes. The homes were built by US Home and Ryland. The houses consist of three and four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms ranging in price from $140,000 up to $190,000.
For the kids there's a community pool and park! Some of the activities that are done are July 4th parade. The kids will decorate their bikes and have a parade and when they get back to the pool/park area there are hotdogs, chips, drinks, watermelon (donated & served by David Slavin, ABR), games, etc. Then on Halloween there is a chili cook-off and Halloween art contest (sponsored by David Slavin, ABR). There are teen pool parties during the summer as well as walk-in movies. The walk-in movie is just that. Everyone brings there own chairs and a movie (child friendly) is shown on an empty lot that the homeowner's association (HOA) owns and hot dogs, chips, drinks & popcorn (provided by the HOA).
There are lots of younger families in Stratford Park as well as emptynesters and 55+. Basically, Stratford is perfect for anyone wanting a great neighborhood that is small enough to many of the residences. It's a wonderful place to live and I know this personally since I lived here for 6 1/2 years, so needless to say, that I am extremely familiar with Stratford Park & Sugar Land.
