A few years ago, my wife and I participated in the Disney World Marathon.  It was a great time.  We ran with the American Stroke Association team.  We spent 5 months getting ready for our 26.2 mile odyssey through the parks.  We had 5 hours to complete the course, which stated near EPCOT, then went through Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and finally Disney Hollywood Studios.  We raised a few thousand dollars, and had a blast...

That wasn't our first or last trip to Walt Disney World.  We went the Disney world and took a Disney cruise for our honeymoon.  We have been several times since...

This time was the roughest.  Pushing two kids through the parks was tough...  But thinking back to that marathon...  26.2 miles was nothing.  We covered that by Wednesday.  A pedomter put us around 20,000 steps a day while in the parks.

The bottom line is that we actually need to maintain a training regimen to make it through vacation...  Arthritis in my knee doesn't help...  Getting old sucks.

I agree, I did Disney World with my brother and his family a couple of years ago and it was grueling.

I couldn't imagine running a marathon in that heat and humidity.  I woke up at 6:00 a.m. our first morning there to go for a run with my brother, and I couldn't do it, way too hot!

Congrats on the marathon, I use to run and know that it takes alot of discipline to train for a marathon.

p.s.  I also agree, GETTING OLD SUCKS LOL
