The brownies are staring at me so I have to eat them... the cake is right there calling my name so I have to eat it...
I love the Food Saver. Why? Because it makes me eat less of the good stuff. How? Because every time I open the container, I have to reseal the vaccuum, and it's LOUD. This means everyone in the house can hear it... I don't like to "sneak" brownies if my husband can hear me every time I get one.
Why am I trying to sneak them? Because that's the fun part of being bad, not letting people know about it, right!!??
Since we started using the Food Saver containers several years ago, I've probably saved millions of calories...
Go Food Saver!! I wonder if they could create a Fridge Saver so it makes noise every time it's opened!! I've got dibs on that patent!!

Very funny Donna! I need to get that so I can catch my husband! hahaha
As a kyaker I tend to think of my food saver first for a pair of dry socks and a separate one now for sweets =)
I hope you're having a great Monday!
Paul
I thought you were talking about the Girl Scouts, as I woke up this morning remembering those boxes of cookies I ordered, and wondering how I'm going to limit my consumption.
Sorry.....I need to swallow the ice cream before I can comment on this blog post. :)
Need to get with the program what the heck is a "food Saver"
Jami, That's how I figured out why they disappeared so quickly! Mike was always eating them all day!
Paul, Dry socks? I guess you're talking about the bags, not the container... I had to think of that as I was confused!
Joetta, I limit my consumption of those by just hearing the price... What happened to $1.50 a box??
Karen, Don't drip it everywhere!
Jesse, Google it. It's a bunch of bags and containers that helps keep food fresh weeks and months longer than usual. The investment is well worth the money as you'll save more with unruined food.
Hi Donna... a few years ago I was at Bed Bath and Beyond and saw a device that looked like a pig and attached to the door of the refrigerator. Every time the door was opened it made a loud Oinking sound.
We have a food saver, too. But decided it was too much work, so I gave up. Now I just eat all the brownies at one sitting! yum! ***burp*** excuse me!
You know, I can't tell you how many countless times I have waled by the food saver at Costco...and you are about the 10th person who has said they love there food saver! :)
Cheron
Steve, But it could probably be easily dismantled?? Interesting thought...
Ruth, Too much work? What kind of work? You just have to remember to use it. We keep ours out on the counter.
Cheron, My mom won't use theirs and my in-laws won't use theirs... maybe it's a generational thing?
They are definitely overpriced. But somehow they have to pay for their swank New York offices with marble floors and granite counters. (I remember reading about those new offices, with views of the statue of liberty, when I was a girl scout leader back in south carolina, and thinking how hard the little girls had to work to support that luxury. Only 25 cents from each box went to the troop.)
