The RESA convention, it was awesome! I know that many people have probably written blogs about it. But I wanted to express my thoughts on it as well. Nancy Maurer said it best when she said, we hit the "jackpot". It wasn't just the networking but the incredibly information that was freely given out. Trade secret that were being spewed out-of-the-mouths of the experts. Ricardo Bueno said it best when he parted these words of wisdom "If you take one piece of information, one nugget with you, then it was all worth it" I have a barrel of nuggets!! So much so that I'm suffering from information overload. You know that feeling when you learned so much, you can't wait to implement it, but you don't know where to start.
Going to your trade convention (whatever profession you're in) is probably this most empowering feeling you will ever get. It revitalizes you. fuels the mind, soul and heart and gives you the motivation you need to continue. It probably helped that the last speaker to come on stage was Mike Robbins a speaker who inspires you to "reach new level of awareness".
I got to personally meet pioneers in the field of home staging. And watch as successful stager receive the recognition they deserve. Congratulations Michelle Minch for winning "Stager of the Year". Although I have never met Michelle until the RESA convention she was extremely friendly and forthcoming with information. I can see why she won the award.
Last, but definitely not least, the new friendship I made. Women, who were total stranger, now I call them my friends. They were willing to share what worked for them, what didn't, as I picked their brains. I take away from this convention, a sense of purpose and respect for my fellow stagers. And you can bet that next year I will be going to the RESA convention. Awesome!!!
