Walter - Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!

Vic - You mean you're ready to give me money and my picture is stopping you?!  Maybe you didn't click the link to read the rest of the post on my blog.  There's several pictures of me there and if you want to see what my mug looks like without the magic of photoshop, there's also the video in the sidebar above.

But to set aside the topic of this post and address your concerns: I know you're probably just trying to be helpful in your own way.  The sad part is that you can't please everybody all the time.  I've had an undoctored avatar up before, but the experts say that big brands need unified I had to think about what was more important, people recognizing my face or my logo.  My logo is more important, so I just had the logo up for a while.  Then I had a lot of unsolicited advice telling me that people want to see my face and connect with me on more of a personal level.  The above avatar is the result of me trying to meld the two ideologies and inject some of my own creativity.  It's my real face, just turned green with some of my corporate branding added in.  I'm sorry you don't like it.

On my own side note, be careful about linking to your blog posts in your comments on other people's blogs.  Apparently that's against the ActiveRain TOS and I once got my wrist slapped for making that mistake.

Jill - I really think that we're all getting overloaded with "connections" and "friends" and "followers" to the point that no voices are discernable from the noise of the crowd, which is kind of sad.  Thanks so much for your comment!
